Calibre Construction Group is currently building Dwell in Sutherland: 46 apartments over seven levels with basement parking, a rooftop pool and a barbecue terrace, on Flora Street two blocks from Sutherland station, under a design and construct contract. Sutherland is the administrative centre of the Sutherland Shire, and the streets around the station have been rezoned for mid-rise apartments over the past decade, with Flora Street and Merton Street carrying most of the new buildings. Sites tend to be single consolidated lots suited to one building of six to eight levels over basement, with the shire's controls placing weight on building separation, landscaping and the transition to the surrounding houses. Calibre also delivered a waterfront residence at Kangaroo Point in the shire.
